Weekend with Pieter and Elria Kwant in Carlisle. Relaxing time catching up, walking Hadrian’s Wall, watching Neverwhere BBC series. And a walk to Gelt river and forest. Beech, Oak and Elder. Beech trees at edge of forest with graffiti dated 1901. Better yet there were many quarries along river bank with herring bone chi else marks every where from Roman workings dated to 207AD. Wonderful oasis of history.

Everything set now! Van checked and loaded. Tim and Sarah's van packed and ready to go. Next stop Three Cliffs Bay overlooking Oxwich Bay. Rain has stopped over Nailsea and generally warmer so tomorrow looks rather promising.

Really beautiful dale - picturebook setting. Many of the paths level and only one major ascent. 21 km in all. Lunch at the Smithy cafe in Monyash village. Stilton cheese hamburger and the best chips ever.
Peak District - view across valley after dinner! Sweet and sour chicken and fresh salads with home baked fruit bread! Sublime !

Snow fell in Crawley last week. About 6 inches. One of the local parks is Wakehurst Place - a Kew Gardens offshoot. Decided to take my camera out and see what snows scenes were to be had.
Much of the snow in the tress had gone but the secluded areas had a good coverings. A friendly Robin came over hoping for a hand out! Photo instead!
Thursday already!! But kiah bought a puppet! Today she and new friend gave a puppet show at the group BBQ! Well done kiah and Whisper!
Also she attended batik classes see the result!
